A Windows installer is available for the following Windows versions:

Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Windows Server 2003

To download the latest Windows installer please:

Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/project-open/files/
Open the "V3.4" folder
Click on the latest project-open-Windows-3.4.0.x.y.exe file.

Installation Requirements

In order to run ]project-open[ on Windows you will need:

A computer running one of the supported Windows versions
At least 1GHz AMD or Intel processor
At least 1GByte RAM
At least 20GByte of free disk space

The current version of the Windows installer will refuse to start if it detects a number of conditions:

PostgreSQL or CygWin have already been installed in your computer.
Port 8000 is already occupied by another applications.
The system is installed in a sub-directory. At the moment you will have to install ]po[ in C:\project-open.

Known Issues and Installation Notes

All Windows Versions:

]project-open[ may not restart automatically:
You may have to start ]project-open[ manually after running the "Configuration Wizard".
To restart ]project-open[, please go to the ]project-open[ program group and choose "Start ]project-open["

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

"Start ]project-open[" produces "Permission Denied" error:
On Windows Vista please right-click the "Start ]project-open[" icon and choose "Run as Administrator".
